Carrageenan is a seaweed-derived food hydrocolloid used to build gel structure, viscosity, suspension and stability in compatible formulations.

Direct product answer
Carrageenan is a sulfated polysaccharide hydrocolloid obtained from red seaweeds. The supplied portfolio includes refined and semi-refined grades with different minimum gel strengths.
Commercial suitability depends on the exact grade, source, test method, application and destination-market rules. The current signed specification and batch COA govern a transaction.
Application screening
These are formulation areas, not universal approvals. Confirm legal use, dosage and technical performance for the finished product.
Support water management, binding, slice structure and yield after formulation trials.
Evaluate suspension, protein interaction, mouthfeel and heat-process stability.
Select grade and ion system according to gel strength, elasticity and release target.
The supplied sheet identifies these markets; qualify the exact food or non-food grade separately.
Supplied technical data
The table reproduces the supplied sheet for procurement screening. It is not a batch COA or a statement of universal regulatory limits.

Specification and identity note: Identity and grade naming require confirmation. The attachment gives CAS 11114-20-8, while the FAO/JECFA carrageenan record lists CAS 9000-07-1 and INS 407. Semi-refined material may fall under processed Eucheuma seaweed (INS 407a) depending on source and processing. Confirm seaweed source, process, INS designation and signed specification.
