Identity and nutrient profile

Monocalcium phosphate and dicalcium phosphate contain different proportions of calcium and phosphorus. Commercial feed-grade material may also differ by hydration state and manufacturing route. Confirm the declared chemical form and guaranteed nutrient levels for the actual product.

What matters during supplier qualification?

Guaranteed analysis

Specify minimum phosphorus and calcium, maximum moisture and any other nutrient limits used by your formulation and incoming-control teams.

Contaminants and feed safety

Set limits for fluorine, arsenic, lead, cadmium and other relevant contaminants in line with destination-market rules and your risk assessment. Request the current specification and a representative or batch COA.

Physical quality

Particle-size distribution, powder or granular form, caking tendency and flow can influence blending, segregation and handling. State these requirements in the RFQ.

Documents and market status

Confirm the SDS, specification, COA format, manufacturer or site information, feed registration status where applicable, and certificates required by the destination. Feed-grade status is source-specific and should not be inferred from the name MCP or DCP.
